Product Details
The GE Fanuc IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module is equipped with multiple power protection mechanisms, aiming to prevent equipment damage caused by problems such as power fluctuations, short circuits, and overloads. The following are the main power protection features supported by this module:
1. Overcurrent protection
Protection mechanism: If the output current exceeds the rated current of the module (typically 20A), this function will provide feedback through the built-in electronic circuit to limit the current or shut down the output, thereby preventing the device from being damaged due to overcurrent.
2. Overvoltage protection
Protection mechanism: Overvoltage protection determines whether the input voltage exceeds the normal operating range through the built-in voltage monitoring circuit. If the input voltage exceeds the specified upper limit (for example, over 264V AC), the module will automatically disconnect the power input to protect the internal components from being damaged by high voltage.
3. Low voltage protection
Protection mechanism: Prevent the power module from continuing to operate when the voltage is too low, avoiding instability or system failure to start normally due to insufficient voltage.
4. Short-circuit protection
Protection mechanism: When a short circuit occurs at the power output terminal (for example, due to cable damage, poor contact or other reasons), the short-circuit protection mechanism is immediately activated to prevent the power module from overheating, catching fire or other catastrophic failures.
5. Over-temperature protection
Protection mechanism: The temperature sensor monitors the internal temperature of the module. If the temperature reaches the overheating threshold, the over-temperature protection function will cut off the power supply to the module or limit the output to prevent internal components from being damaged due to overheating.
6. Power recovery function
Protection mechanism: When the grid voltage is restored, the power module will automatically restart and gradually resume output to prevent equipment damage caused by power fluctuations.
IC698PSA350 Power Supply Modul:e Main features
Power input and output
Input voltage: Supports input voltage ranges of AC 90V to 132V or AC 180V to 264V. This design applies to different voltage environments and can meet diverse power supply demands.
Output voltage: The module provides a 5V DC output, specifically designed to power the RX7i control system and additional modules.
Output power: The maximum output power is 100W, which is sufficient to meet the power requirements of common control systems and additional devices.
Power Supply Module Protective function
Overcurrent protection: Provides overcurrent protection to prevent module damage due to excessive load. This function helps ensure that the system automatically shuts down when the current exceeds the safety threshold, avoiding damage.
Overvoltage protection: Equipped with an overvoltage protection mechanism, it ensures that the power module can automatically cut off the power supply in the case of high voltage input, protecting the internal circuit from damage.
Short-circuit protection: When a short circuit occurs, the module will quickly cut off the output power supply, thereby avoiding potential safety hazards such as circuit damage or fire caused by short circuits.
Over-temperature protection: Equipped with an internal temperature sensor, it can activate protective measures when the module overheats to prevent damage caused by overheating.
Design and Installation
Compact design: This module is compactly designed and can be easily integrated into various standard industrial control cabinets, adapting to installation environments with limited space.
Easy to install: The module adopts a plug-and-play installation method, simplifying the installation and maintenance process. Whether during the initial installation or during system maintenance, replacement and operation can be carried out conveniently.
Environmental adaptability: The design takes into account the usage requirements of industrial environments and can operate stably within a wide range of temperatures and humidity.
LED status indication
The module is equipped with LED indicator lights, which can display the power status, working status and any potential faults in real time. Through simple visual feedback, users can quickly determine the operating status of the power module.
Field Wiring Connections
The AC input terminals are located on the front faceplate of the power supply. The top two terminals (L1 and L2/N) are for 120/240 VAC input. Power input connections shouldbe madee with copper AWG #16 (1.3 m') wire rated for 75'℃ (167°F). Each terminalcan acceptt two solid or stranded wires, but the wires into any given terminal should bthe sameme type and size. The wires should be stripped to a length of 0.25" or 7mm. Torquesetting should be 12 in-lb (1.3 N-m).
It is recommended that the GND (ground) terminal on the power supply be connected to the GND stud on the rack and to the input power's earth ground reference using copper AWG #16 (1.3 mm2 ) wire rated for 75℃ (167°F) to ensure adequate grounding. Use of a nut and star washer on the ground stud is recommended.
