ProSoft MVI56E-MCM Features and Benefits:
1. Flexible port configuration: Each MVI56E port can be independently configured as a Modbus master or slave, and two independently configurable serial ports can operate on the same or different Modbus networks.
2. Powerful data processing capabilities: With a 10,000-word database, more device data can be collected, operating performance can be improved, and enhanced functions and flexibility can be enjoyed without expensive reprogramming costs.
3. Easy to integrate: Operates as an input/output module on the ControlLogix backplane, presents Modbus data as I/O data to the processor, simplifies the process of adding modules to RsLogix 5000 projects, and has Add-On Profile capabilities.
4. Backward compatibility: All MVI56E products are backward compatible with earlier MVI56 modules and can be directly replaced without changing the existing controller program.
5. Convenient remote access: CIP Connect® functionality allows remote user access across the ControlLogix backplane via Rockwell Automation's 1756-ENBT module, facilitating configuration, diagnosis, and analysis of process data and communication status.
6. Rich diagnostic capabilities: Features a 4-character, scrolling alphanumeric LED display that displays status and diagnostic data in English, and also provides error codes, network error counters, and port status data, allowing users to quickly locate and resolve problems.
FAQ
Q: How to view the LEDs of the MVI56E-MCM module?
A: During module configuration, the OK will be red and the APP and BP ACT LEDs will be on. If the LEDs are latched in this mode for a long period of time, look at the configuration error words in the configuration request block.
Q: MVI56E-MCM Processor fault
A: Verify that the module is plugged into the slot that has been configured for the module in the I/O Configuration of RSLogix. Verify that the slot location in the rack has been configured correctly in the ladder logic.
Q: MVI56E-MCM Processor I/O LED flashes
A: This indicates a problem with backplane communications. A problem could exist between the processor and any installed I/O module, not just the MVI56-MCM. Verify that all modules in the rack are correctly configured in the ladder logic.
