The MMS6823 module is a supporting product of the MMS6000 turbine generator vibration monitoring and protection system produced by EPRO, Germany. The system has the functions of real-time data acquisition, processing, and transmission. It communicates with the TSI (MMS6000 series) module via RS485 data to realize data acquisition and related settings; data transmission based on TCP/IP can realize the functions of remote control, remote monitoring, remote configuration, and remote debugging.

The MMS6823 module is connected to the RS485 bus of the MMS6000 turbine monitoring and protection system through 12 communication ports to obtain real-time data from each measurement module of the MMS6000 system. Since the data is directly taken from the measurement module without intermediate processing, it has an incomparable accuracy compared to other sampling methods. The system uses a synchronous full-cycle method to collect data, with an optional number of sampling points and a maximum number of sampling points of 1024. It can collect vibration data such as start/stop (transient), steady state, alarm, and related process parameters. The system obtains dynamic signals from bearing vibration and shaft vibration, and static signals from shaft displacement, eccentricity, and differential expansion measurement modules. The speed module obtains the speed and key phase signals of the equipment.
When using Emerson's new frame, you should choose 6830 instead of 6823 as the communication module. 6830 and 6823 have the same functions and the same 48-pin terminal definition. The 6830 module is a 2U 19' frame and is installed in the TSI cabinet.
Data input:
- Connect the RS485 bus of the MMS6000 system through the 48-pin socket on the back of the module to obtain relevant data of the MMS6000 module. The transmission rate can be selected as 38400bps or 57600bps.
- The transmission data includes characteristic values, module status data, module alarm status and module real-time waveform data.
Data output:
- MODBUS: supports MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol, connected through the 48-pin socket on the back of the module.
- Ethernet TCP/IP: connected through the standard RJ45 interface, the transmission rate is 10-100Mbps adaptive.
Supply voltage:
18…24…31.2 V DC redundant power supply, compliant with IEC 654-2.
Working environment:
- Working temperature: 0℃~60℃, in accordance with DIN 40040 standard, grade KTF.
- Storage and transportation temperature: -40℃~85℃.
- Permissible relative humidity: 0%~90%, no condensation.
- Permissible vibration: refer to IEC68-2 standard, part 6.
- Permissible impact: refer to IEC68-2 standard, part 29, acceleration peak 98m/s², rated impact duration 16ms.
