Product Introduction
MMS6823R module is a supporting product of the MMS6000 turbine generator vibration monitoring and protection system produced by EPRO of Germany. The system has the functions of real-time data acquisition, processing and transmission. It communicates with TSI (MMS6000 series) modules via RS485 data to realize data acquisition and related settings; data transmission based on TCP/IP can realize the functions of remote control, remote monitoring, remote configuration and remote debugging.

1. MMS6823R Data collection function
MMS6823R module is connected to the RS485 bus of the MMS6000 steam turbine monitoring and protection system through 12 communication ports to obtain real-time data from each measurement module of the MMS6000 system. Since the data is directly taken from the measurement module without intermediate processing, it has an incomparable accuracy compared to other sampling methods. The system uses a synchronous full-cycle method to collect data, with an optional number of sampling points and a maximum number of sampling points of 1024. It can collect vibration data such as start/stop (transient), steady state, alarm, and related process parameters. The system obtains dynamic signals from bearing vibration and shaft vibration, and static signals from shaft displacement, eccentricity, and differential expansion measurement modules. The speed module obtains the speed and key phase signals of the equipment.
2. MMS6823R Communication function
Modbus protocol: Two redundant serial ports RS485 and two redundant Ethernet ports are Modbus communication ports. The parameters are set by modifying the daq6823a.xml file. The characteristic value data, alarm and module status data received from MMS6000 can be accessed by DCS, DEH and other systems connected to the MMS6823R module.
TCP/IP protocol: The MMS6823R module converts the received characteristic value data, waveform data, alarm and module status data into standard TCP/IP protocol, which can be output to the TDM system - MMS6851 through the Ethernet TCP/IP interface.
FAQ
Q: How to use ModScan32 to test MMS6823R
A: Steps:
a) Ensure that the network cables of the two computers are plugged into the two network ports of MMS6823R respectively;
b) Run ModScan32 on the two computers and click "Connection Settings" - "Connect";
Q: MMS6823R data register definition rules
A: The data register address 0-255 (256 data registers) interval stores the main characteristic values, such as peak-to-peak value, displacement value, expansion difference value, speed, etc. Its arrangement order is determined by the arrangement order of channel 1 and channel 2 defined in the DAQ6823A.XML file, and unused channels are not arranged in the register interval.
The data register address 256-511 (256 data registers) interval only stores the main characteristic values of channel 3 and channel 4 of the 4-channel TSI card (6620 module).
The data register address 512-767 (256 data registers) interval stores the alarm status, and the data is 0 (normal), 1 (high alarm), 2 (high high alarm), 3 (low alarm), 4 (low low alarm). Its arrangement order is determined by the arrangement order of channel 1 and channel 2 defined in the DAQ6823A.XML file, and unused channels are not arranged in the register interval.
The data register address 768 – 1023 (256 data registers) only stores the alarm status values of channel 3 and channel 4 of the 4-channel TSI card (6620 module).
The data register address 1024 – 1279 (256 data registers) stores the channel status (CC), and the data is 1 (channel abnormal) and 0 (channel normal). Its arrangement order is determined by the arrangement order of channel 1 and channel 2 defined in the DAQ6823A.XML file. Unused channels are not arranged in the register interval.
The data register address 1280 – 1535 (256 data registers) only stores the channel status (CC) values of channel 3 and channel 4 of the 4-channel TSI card (6620 module).
