The 3500/25 125792-01 Enhanced Keyphasor Module produces important speed and timing reference signals for a rotation-based machinery monitoring system. The advanced Keyphasor module is an improved version of the previous Keyphasor unit, which now has better signal processing capabilities, improved system compatibility, and higher reliability. The Keyphasor Module receives an input signal provided by an eddy current probe or a magneto-electric sensor and converts it into a standard Keyphasor pulse signal. The application area of the Keyphasor Module is vast and includes power, petrochemical, chemical, metallurgical, paper, and natural gas transmission, and other practices involving large machinery manufacturing.
In the rotating machinery monitoring system, the Keyphasor signal is regarded as the "time reference signal", which serves as the foundation for vibration analysis, phase calculation, and speed monitoring. Without the Keyphasor signal, many advanced analysis functions (such as 1X vibration analysis, order analysis, trajectory graphs, etc.) would not be achievable.
