3500/05 System Rack is the core rack structure component designed by Bently Nevada for its 3500 series Machinery Protection and Condition Monitoring System. It is used to accommodate, support, and connect various monitoring modules, power modules, interface modules, etc., from the 3500 series. Through the modular platform, it realizes real-time monitoring and intelligent diagnosis of a large number of key parameters such as vibration, displacement, speed, temperature, and process variables. It is a reliable performance system in accordance with API670 standards.

Product Details
Use the 3500/05 System rack to mount all 3500 monitor modules and power supplies. The rack allows you to place 3500 modules near one another, enabling them to easily communicate and to mount power supplies necessary to distribute power to each module.
Rack Classification and Size Selection
The 3500 series offers racks in two dimensions:
- Full-size rack: 19-inch EIA rack with 14 available module slots.
- Mini-rack: 12-inch rack with seven available module slots.
Rack structure composition
Frame body framework: Supports the module card slots and the backplane, providing mechanical fixation points for the modules and electrical backplane connection points.
Backplane: It provides an electrical connection bus for modules, used for power supply, communication, and data signal transmission, etc.
Module slots: Each slot is equipped with standardized metal contacts, enabling various monitoring, power supply, and communication modules to be easily inserted and replaced.
Power supply structure
3500/05 rack serves as the power distribution center for the system. On its left side, there is usually reserved space for the power module:
It supports a single power supply or a dual redundant power supply design.
The redundant power supply ensures that if one power supply fails, the system can still receive power and continue to operate, thereby enhancing reliability.
Installation sequence of the power supply module:
It must be installed in the leftmost slot of the rack. Then come the Rack Interface Module and other monitoring modules.
Power supply support is available in common 24 VDC or other industrial standard power forms as per system requirements, and it also provides voltage stabilization, current distribution, and electrical protection functions.

Purchase Suggestions
You can order 3500 racks in three formats:
- Panel mount: This rack format mounts to rectangular cutouts in panels and secures to the panel using clamps supplied with the rack. Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear of the rack.
- Rack mount: This rack format mounts the 3500 Rack on 119-inch EIA rails. Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear of the rack.
- Bulkhead mount: This rack format mounts the rack against a wall or panel when it is not possible to access the rear of the rack. Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the front of the rack. The 3500/05 Mini-Rack is not available in this format.
The power supplies and rack interface module must occupy the far-left rack positions. The remaining 14 rack positions (seven rack positions for the mini-rack) are available for any combination of modules.
