Product Introduction

88TK05 GJR2393200R1210 is used in stations belonging to the PROCONTROL system.
In conjunction with remote-bus coupling module 88FT05, itis used for coupling a PROCONTROL station to the remotebus.
Moreover, the module controls all operations which arerequired to exchange data within a PROCONTROL station.
The connection of the station bus to the PROCONTROL re-mote bus may either be of single-channel or dual-channeldesign.
When installed in an autonomous station, the module per-forms the functions of a bus control module.

Product Details
The module receives all telegrams transmitted over the PROCONTROL remote bus and checks them for formal correct ness and accurate contents.
A distinction is made between send-location-addressedtelegrams and destination-addressed telegrams. Sendlocation-addressed telegrams are checked for formal accuracy and, if found to be correct, sent to the station.
Destination-addressed telegrams are checked for formalaccuracy and correct contents and are sent to the stationonly if the system and station addresses match.
Formal accuracy is checked on the basis of control charac.ters protecting the telegram contents such as operationcode, addresses, and data (hamming distance: 6).
Over the PROCONTROL bus system, certain destination-addressed telegrams can be transferred which are intendedexclusively for the station-bus coupling module. These tele.grams are mainly used for controlling remote-bus couplingmodule 88FT05.These telegrams are identified by compar.ing the addresses (station, system, module), but are not for.warded to the station bus.
If an error is detected in telegrams destined for the station, these telegrams will not be sent to the station. Instead, themodule puts out a signal over the noise channel in order tocause the communication controller to send the telegrams inquestion one more time.
Universal I/O and control modules
Procontrol P14 process stations:
Procontrol P14 needs only two types of module to perform the main signal conditioning and control tasks - the universal I/O module and the universal control module. These two modules alone cover 80 percent of all power plant control functions. The result is a control system with a clear structure, lower inventory costs and simpler maintenance.
The I/O and control modules are housed in the Procontrol P14 process station along with the coupling modules for the human machine interface (HMI) and external systems like MODBUS TCP/RTU, PLCs, and third-party equipment. The station can be connected to the remote bus via an optional bus coupler or it can operate in stand-alone mode.
Many powerful features The Procontrol P14 process station has many powerful features:
• Only two types of module are required to perform all signal conditioning and control tasks
• Control modules process the information independently (like a multiprocessor system). No central processing units are required, unlike other distributed control systems
• I/O modules have their own processors. This makes signal acquisition and conditioning more efficient
• Standard cable connections to junction boxes avoid the need for marshaling racks
• Availability of all process variables via remote bus in real-time
• Easy distribution of control tasks between different process stations to best suit plant requirements
• Easy to extend without influencing engineered applications
