70 Ω FEP coaxial cable structure
The EA902 extension cable uses 70 Ω coaxial cable and adopts an FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) insulation layer structure. The FEP material is suitable for high-temperature environments and applies to some chemical, oil, and gas sites.
Miniature coaxial connector
At both ends of the module, self-locking miniature coaxial connectors are used, which can reduce the occurrence of connection loosening in a vibrating environment. The connectors adopt a manual locking structure, making it convenient for disassembly and assembly during on-site maintenance.

Product Details
The EA902-011 extension cable is used to extend the connection distance between the proximity sensor and the signal conditioner, and to maintain the electrical matching of the entire measurement chain. This product is typically used with:
TQ902 Proximity Sensor
TQ912 Proximity Sensor
IQS900 Signal Conditioner

In the system structure, the IQS900 signal conditioner is responsible for providing high-frequency driving signals to the TQ9x2 sensor and performing modulation and demodulation processing on the feedback signals from the front-end sensor. The EA902 extension cable, as the intermediate connection part in the measurement chain, needs to match the electrical parameters with the TQ9x2 sensor and the IQS900 conditioner. Therefore, this series uses a fixed 70 Ω coaxial cable structure and complies with the API 670 5th Edition standard requirements.
Environmental
Temperature range:
• Sensor:−40 to 180°C (−40 to 356°F) operating
180 to 220°C (356 to 428°F) short-term survival for 2 hours max.
•Sensor and cabling: Temperature for use in an Ex Zone
• Cabling, connector and optional protection:−40 to 200°C (−40 to 392°F)
Sensor construction: Wire coil Ø8 mm, PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) high-performance thermoplastic tip, crimped to a stainless-steel body (AISI 316L)
Integral and extension cables: FEP-covered 70 Ω coaxial cable, Ø3.6 mm
Connectors: Self-locking miniature coaxial connectors.
Optional protection:
• Flexible stainless-steel hose (protection tube) with FEP sheath (extruded fluorinated ethylene propylene)
The combination of stainless-steel hose with FEP sheath provides sealed (leak-tight) mechanical and electrically insulated protection. Note: The FEP sheath also provides resistance to almost all chemicals and low permeability to liquids, gases, and moisture, while being flexible, low-friction, and mechanically tough.

FAQ
Q: Which sensors does this extension line support?
A: This Sensor Extension Cable is usually compatible with:
TQ902
TQ912
TQ922
TQ932
TQ942
And used in conjunction with the IQS900 Signal Conditioner.
Q: Can it be used in explosion-proof areas?
A: The A2 model is certified with Ex explosion-proof standard and can be used in potentially explosive environments. In actual projects, the corresponding order code needs to be determined based on the on-site explosion-proof level.
Q: Why is it necessary to confirm the system length during the procurement process?
A: Because the total length of the proximity measurement chain will affect the measurement parameters. Different projects will be based on:
Sensor model
Extension cable length
IQS900 configuration
To form different system lengths, such as 5m or 10m measurement chains. Before purchasing, it is necessary to confirm the on-site configuration.
Q: What information needs to be confirmed before purchasing this model?
A: Full model number Part Number
Order code
Sensor model for matching
System length
Whether an explosion-proof version is required
On-site temperature environment
Whether original packaging is provided
