As a module of the old SLC 500 series, 1746-OA16 was officially discontinued in December 2022. Rockwell Automation suggests that new design plans should consider alternative products, such as using more modern CompactLogix or ControlLogix platforms' AC output modules.
1746-OA16 can be installed in the local or remote I/O rack of SLC 500, and can be compatible with various Allen-Bradley processors, such as the 1747 series PLC, or can be used through an adapter for modern CompactLogix and ControlLogix systems.
