The Bently NEVADA 3300 XL 11mm Proximitor Sensor, 330780-50-00, is factory-calibrated on AISI 4140 steel. Calibration for other tip materials is available upon request.
The 3300 XL 11mm Eddy-Current Sensor System consists of the following components:
• 3300 XL 11mm Probe
• 3300 XL 11mm Extension Cable
• 3300 XL 11mm Proximitor Sensor
For non-contact vibration and displacement measurement in oil-film bearing machines, the bently 3300 XL 11mm eddy-current sensor system delivers 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output. The 11mm probe tip gives this sensor a wider linear range than our standard 3300 XL 8mm sensor system. Its primary applications are the following, where a wide linear range is required:
• Axial (thrust) displacement measurement
• Inclined-plane differential expansion measurement in steam turbines
• Measuring piston rod displacement or droop in reciprocating compressors
• Tachometer and zero-speed measurement
• Phase reference (keyphase) signal
The Bently 3300 XL 11mm proximity sensor system is designed for displacement or vibration measurements in the frequency range of 0 to 8 kHz. Typical applications include radial vibration and displacement, axial displacement, and key phase measurements.
Recommended gap setting: 2.5mm (100mils)
