Product Introduction
3500/42-01-01 Proximitor /Seismic Monitor is a four-channel monitor that accepts input from Proximitor and Seismic Transducers and uses this input to drive alarms. The monitor can be programmed using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to perform any of the following functions: Radial Vibration, Thrust Position, Eccentricity, Differential Expansion, Acceleration, and Velocity.

Product Details
In the 3500 series, the 3500/42 series monitoring modules (including 3500/42-01-00, 3500/42-01-01, 3500/42-04-00, and other modules with different suffixes) belong to the vibration/displacement/velocity monitoring modules. They are mainly responsible for signal conditioning, processing, and analysis of the raw signals from displacement, vibration, or velocity sensors, and are used for machine condition monitoring and fault warning.
The main differences in the suffixes lie in:
The types of input/output terminals
Whether the terminal impedance or isolation network is built in
The functional configuration options, the output physical interface

The 3500/42 176449-02 module typically supports four channels of input (i.e., four independent monitoring channels). These channels can receive signals from various types of sensors, such as:
Displacement Probe: Often used to detect the radial displacement of machine shafts relative to the base.
Velocity Transducer: Used to detect the overall vibration speed of the machine.
Acceleration Sensor: Used to detect the peak value of vibration acceleration. Proximity/Seismic Transducers: Commonly used for detecting axial vibrations.

3500/42-01-01 I/O Modules without Barriers:

The primary purpose of the 3500/42-01-01 monitor is to provide 1) machinery protection by continuously comparing current machine vibration against configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms and 2) essential machine vibration information to both operator and maintenance personnel. Alarm setpoints are configured using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software. Alarm setpoints can be configured for each active proportional value, and danger setpoints can be configured for two of the active proportional values.
When shipped from the factory, the 3500/42-01-01 is delivered unconfigured. When needed, the 3500/42 can be installed into a 3500 rack and configured to perform the required monitoring function. This lets you stock a single monitor for use as a spare for many different applications.
