The 3500/72M Recip Rod Position Monitor, a four-channel device, receives signals from proximity transducers, processes these signals for dynamic and static position measurements, and then compares them to user-set alarms.
Depending on the configuration, each channel typically processes its input signal to produce different parameters known as measured values.
By utilizing the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, you can:
- Set alert thresholds for each active measured value and danger thresholds for any two active measured values.
- Safeguard reciprocating compressors by continuously monitoring parameters against set alarm thresholds, displaying alarms, and activating relays when necessary.
- Keep track of the condition of critical reciprocating compressor machinery. The monitor channels are programmable to meet specific requirements.
The 3500/72M Recip Rod Position Monitor complies with API 618 specifications for reciprocating compressors and is capable of measuring the following parameters:
- Rod position
- Rod drop
- Hyper-compressor functions
