Software (Chinese mainland and Hong Kong terminology, called software in Taiwan) is a collection of computer data and instructions organized in a specific order. Generally speaking, software is divided into system software, application software, and middleware in between. Software does not simply include computer programs that can be run on a computer (in this case, computer in a broad sense), and documentation related to these computer programs is generally considered to be part of the software. To put it simply, software is a collection of programs and documents.
