There is a reason why distributed automation solutions are so popular! For users, using appropriate remote I/O can not only save cabinet space and reduce wiring workload, but more importantly, the distributed control structure has higher flexibility, making subsequent expansion or changes easier to implement, and can be quickly implemented even in harsh working environments, greatly saving design and procurement costs.

PSSuniversal 2 is Pilz's remote I/O system, which transmits safe and non-safe signals through a decentralized network connection. This system is well designed and can connect up to 64 I/O modules, significantly reducing the workload of service and maintenance. In addition, very accurate diagnosis can be performed within the remote I/O system, which can quickly locate and correct faults. Users can connect remote I/O modules to higher-level controllers through universal industrial communication protocols, which means it is very suitable for integration into existing control architectures.

PSSuniversal 2 can process safety-related and non-safety-related control signals. Safety and non-safety signals are not physically distinguished, but are logically independent. The merger of automation and safety functions and technical and mechanical improvements help users save time and costs from the design planning stage, thus having an efficient, open and flexibly expandable system.

Pilz's remote I/O products have an IP67 protection rating and are suitable for harsh environments with dust, moisture and extreme temperatures. Thanks to the fully encapsulated module electronics, the devices are particularly mechanically robust: they are resistant to dust and short-term immersion in water and are suitable for temperatures ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius.

PILZ PSS67 PLCAs a safe PLC controller, the PSS67 PLC is suitable for applications with the highest PL e safety level. It is part of the automation system PSS4000 and is fully compatible with other controllers in the system. It can be easily integrated into the existing architecture. The PSS67 PLC has 16 safe digital inputs, can directly connect sensors, and can be used in combination with Pilz's compact module PSS67 I/O.

Pilz continues to expand its product line of distributed peripherals, the latest of which is the PSSuniversal 2 safety analog module. It is expected that by the end of 2024, the first remote IO-Link safety master will also be launched, which will make distributed automation networks more open and attractive.
Pilz's distributed solutions, with their efficiency, flexibility and safety, bring new vitality to the field of industrial automation. With the continuous advancement of technology, Pilz will continue to lead the direction of automation technology and bring or create more value for enterprises.
