Product Details
The 3500/60 & 61 series modules offer temperature monitoring across six channels and are compatible with both Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) and Thermocouple (TC) inputs. These modules process the incoming signals and check them against alarm setpoints that can be programmed by the user.
While the 3500/60 and 3500/61 share the same functionality, the 3500/61 distinguishes itself by offering recorder outputs for all six channels, a feature not present in the 3500/60. Users can configure the modules for RTD or TC temperature measurements using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software. A variety of I/O modules are offered in both non-isolated RTD/TC and isolated TC versions. The non-isolated version can be set up to receive either TC or RTD inputs, or a combination of both. The isolated version includes 250 Vdc channel-to-channel isolation to safeguard against external interference.
In a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) setup, temperature monitors should be placed next to each other in sets of three. This configuration utilizes two forms of voting to ensure precise operation and to prevent failures due to single points of failure.
