Bently Nevada 3500 system monitors the 3500/22M 288055-01 module's transient input data, i.e., shock and vibration, and processes it for use in machine fault analysis and machine condition assessment. The TDI is widely used in multiple industries where machines are monitored for condition, including power plants, petrochemical, aerospace (aircraft), etc., to monitor the transient response of machines such as turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, and aircraft engines, as well as their operating conditions.
✔ Data Management - uniformly processing all monitoring data
✔ Communication capabilities - Supports multiple industrial protocols
✔ Transient data acquisition - Supports advanced fault analysis
✔ Easy for system integration - compatible with DCS/PLC systems

Product Details
The 3500/22M 288055-01 Transient Data Interface (TDI) is the interface between the 3500 monitoring system and compatible software (System 1 Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic software and 3500 System Configuration software). The TDI combines the function of a 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the data collection capability of a communication processor such as TDXnet.
The TDI resides in the slot adjacent to the power supplies of a 3500 rack. It interfaces with M series monitors (3500/40M, 3500/42M, etc.) to continuously collect steady state and transient dynamic (waveform) data and pass this data through an Ethernet link to the host software.
Static data capture capability is standard with the TDI. However, using an optional Channel Enabling Disk will allow the TDI to capture dynamic and high-resolution transient data as well. The TDI incorporates the communication processor function within the 3500 rack.
Although the TDI provides certain functions common to the entire rack, it is not part of the critical monitoring path and has no effect on the proper, normal operation of the overall monitor system for automatic machinery protection. Every 3500 rack requires one TDI or RIM, which always occupies Slot 1 (next to the power supplies).
How to use
The 3500/22M 288055-01 TDI module is equipped with an Ethernet interface.
Purpose: Connect to the upper-level system (DCS/SCADA/upper computer)
Protocol: TCP/IP
Rate: 10/100 Mbps
Communication connection:
An industrial Ethernet cable (RJ45)
Industrial switch (recommended) or directly connect to the computer
Set IP address:
The TDI module must be configured with an IP address to communicate.
This can be done through the 3500 configuration software.
Connection monitoring software:
Common software: Bently Nevada System 3500/01
3500 Rack Configuration Software
Data reading and monitoring:
After the connection is successful, you can view:
Real-time vibration data

FAQ
Q: The function of the Bently Nevada 3500/22M 288055-01 module
A: The TDI (Transient Data Interface) module is responsible for data communication, system configuration, and transient data acquisition. It processes and transmits all monitoring data to the system.
Q: Can a 3500 system framework use multiple TDI modules?
A: Usually, only one TDI module is needed for every 3500 racks.
Q: Where is the installation location of the module?
A: Installed in the designated slot of the 3500 rack, usually a dedicated slot for communication purposes.
