Product Overview
An analog input termination unit (AITU) is NTAI06 6639364G1 under the ABB Bailey / Infi-90 Distributed Control System (DCS). This module is used to terminate analog signals produced by field instruments and to standardize such signals at a single location, and to transmit such signals through the system backplane to the relevant analog input modules, to provide reliable and maintainable analog signal connections.

1. Supporting a unified terminal connection form for multiple types of analog quantities
Through a unified terminal layout, it realizes the centralized connection of common industrial analog signals (such as current, voltage,e and temperature type signals), reducing the terminal connection differences caused by different signal types in the field.
2. The modular structure facilitates system configuration and adjustment.
The modules are in the form of independent terminal units and can be flexibly added or reduced according to the number of I/O points, which helps maintain the original wiring logic during system expansion or channel adjustment.
3. Terminal-level interface unit for DCS architecture design
NTAI06 is not a general-purpose terminal block. Instead, it is specially designed based on the I/O architecture ofthe ABB Infi-90 system, and is used for systematic terminal connection of analog input circuits. It ensures that the signals meet the electrical and structural requirements of the system before entering the I/O module.
4. Forming a clear functional division with the analog input module
NTAI06 focuses on signal termination and the standardization of transmission paths, and does not participate in signal sampling or logical processing. This enables a clear system structure, facilitating engineering understanding and maintenance.
5 . Suitablefor ar standardized installation environment within control cabinets
The design fully takes into account the installation, wiring, and maintenance requirements of DCS control cabinets, facilitating their use in conjunction with the related racks and terminal panels of Infi-90.
Product Advantages
1 . Helps to enhance the consistencyof thef analog signal connection
By adopting standardized termination methods, it ensures uniform wiring standards when different on-site instruments are connected to the system, which is beneficial for the overall quality control of the system.
2. Reduce the maintenance complexity of the analog I/O system
When there is a problem with the on-site channel, it can be diagnosed and handled at the terminal level, reducing the need for direct operation on the core I/O module, which helps to shorten the maintenance time.
3. Suitable for the stability requirements of long-term operation systems
In continuous operation industrial control scenarios, standardized connection methods help reduce issues such as loose wiring and interference, providing support for the stable operation of the system.
4.It has excellent compatibility with the existing Infi-90 system.
As a component of the original system architecture, NTAI06 can maintain the original design logic during system upgrades, renovations, or spare parts replacements, thereby reducing engineering modifications.
5.It is conducive to the implementation of the project and the subsequent expansion planning.
During the project implementation stage, it is convenient to conduct centralized wiring. In the later expansion stage, additional analog input points can be added without significantly altering the original system structure.
Power Wiring Connect
This section explains how to connect power wiring. The NTAI06 has two fast-on connections for power and I/O common. There is a chassis ground point on the edge of the circuit board between the power and ground connectors. A screw and external star washer connect the chassis common point to the NFTP01. Make power connections to the TU after it is mounted in the NFTP01. Make sure the cabinet and I/O power are turned off before connecting the ground and power wiring.
