Internal Redundancy: The module employs redundant microprocessors and diagnostic circuits to continuously monitor its health status.

Comprehensive Diagnostic Functions:
Continuously performs internal self-diagnostics, including processor, memory, communication, and output circuit testing.
Capable of detecting faults in output channels, such as open circuits and short circuits to power/ground.
Any detected fault will immediately put the module into or maintain a safe state and report to the upper-level system.
Forced-Directed (Trip) Relays: Output relays typically employ a forced-directed design. The normally open and normally closed contacts of this relay are mechanically linked, ensuring they cannot close simultaneously. This prevents failure due to contact welding when safety functions require disconnection, a key hardware feature for achieving high SIL levels.
Clear Status Indicators: Provides detailed LED indicators to display module status (e.g., OK, Fault, Activated), communication status, and the status of each output channel, facilitating rapid diagnostics.
Hot-Swap Support: Supports hot-swapping within the HIS system, facilitating maintenance without affecting the overall system safety functions.
