3500/45 Position Monitor, equipped with four channels, is designed to receive signals from a variety of sensors including proximity transducers, Rotary Position Transducers (RPTs), DC Linear Variable Differential Transformers (DC LVDTs), AC Linear Variable Differential Transformers (AC LVDTs), and rotary potentiometers. It processes these inputs and then compares the processed signals against alarms that are programmable by the user.
Utilizing the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, you have the capability to configure each channel to carry out the following tasks:
- Axial (thrust) Position
- Differential Expansion
- Standard Single Ramp Differential Expansion
- Non-standard Single Ramp Differential Expansion
- Dual Ramp Differential Expansion
- Complementary Differential Expansion
- Case Expansion
- Valve Position
The primary purpose of the 3500/45Position Monitoris to provide the following:
- Machinery protection by continuously comparing monitored parameters against configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms
- Essential machine information for operations and maintenance personnel
Depending on the specific setup, each channel generally processes its input signal to produce different parameters known as measured variables. For each measured variable that is active, you can set alert thresholds, and for any pair of active measured variables, you can set danger thresholds.
