The 3500/65 monitor offers temperature surveillance across 16 channels and is compatible with both resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and isolated tip thermocouples (TCs). This monitor processes these inputs and checks them against alarm setpoints that are customizable by the user.
The 3500 Rack Configuration Software is utilized to program the monitor, allowing you to set up the 16-Channel Temperature Monitor to receive signals from isolated tip thermocouples, 3-wire RTDs, 4-wire RTDs, or a mix of both TC and RTD inputs.
For Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) setups, it is necessary to place temperature monitors in sets of three that are adjacent to each other. Within this configuration, the monitor employs two forms of voting mechanisms to ensure precise operation and to prevent failures due to single points of failure.
